It is one of the Harvard University’s most recommended movies which is necessary for managers and entrepreneurs to watch. It is an American movie directed by Sydney Lumet in 1957 which is about an 18-year-old young man’s trial who has been determined to be executed by everyone’s agreement but a single man who opposes the trial.

The following competencies can be observed in this movie:
By watching this film, you will be able to understand how someone can negotiate with a large number of opponents, influence them and gradually convince them. (Negotiation-Impact-Persuasion)
In various scenes of the movies, the protagonist, starring Henry Fonda, showed that he has a high level of critical thinking skills, he was talented at analyzing information, he was able to search for more information to make wise decisions, then reasoned logically based on evidence. He set aside any judgmental view and analyzed the information he obtained without any prejudice.
The film reminds the audience several times to be aware of cognitive bias and be careful while they are making decision (focusing on the latest information, stereotyping, generalizing, labeling, and jumping to the conclusion without following the path) and avoiding judgment.
Finally, if you are interested in the topic of interaction behavior analysis you can, by meditating in this film, see many signs from Eric Byrne’s point of view in all three mental states of childhood, parenting and adulthood in the characters of the film. Eric Byrne described four types of life situations: I’m fine, you’re fine. I’m fine, you’re not. I’m not fine, you are, and I’m not fine and neither you are. With a little care in the characters of the film, this also becomes apparent.
This movie shows how one person can turn 11 of their opponents into their supporters. It is recorded indoor and shows what tricks you need to use to win people’s agreement. The protagonist is a model of someone who cleverly breaks the resistance and wins the opponents support.
